Enhance Your Exercise Efforts

If you feel thirsty when you are working out then it is your body sending you signals that you are dehydrated. Drink plenty of water before doing your workout routine. Drinking water during your exercise routine can help you quench your thirst but not to rehydrate your body. The body hydrates best when you drink water before hitting the gym.

Find a workout buddy and you will get more motivated to do your exercise regiment.  Find someone that have the same goals as you or someone that has accomplish their goals but would like to become your exercise mentor. Create a workout challenge and reward each other for accomplishing your exercise goals.

Schedule a time to exercise that is feasible and will not interfere with your work or family schedule. Get rid of excuses by writing into your calendar your exercise days and times. Be flexible and know that if something comes up that you won’t be able to exercise that you replace that time.

The best way to build strength and endurance is to start your workouts at a slow pace. Work your way into being able to lift more weights or to do cardio a little more each time. More people quit their exercise program because their expectations are so high from the beginning that they let themselves down.

Change your routines by walking some days and going to the gym other days. There are many workouts that will help your body benefit more by switching exercise routines. Schedule cardio two days a week, strength training two days a week and stretch exercise two days a week. Always leave a day off every two to three days to let your body recuperate and re-energize.

Eat healthy and take time to smell the roses. Studies have shown that people that are stresses out will eat more junk food. This roller coaster of stress and eating junk can make you gain weight and that will put more stress on you and thus making you eat more junk food. So start out by helping yourself by doing a few minutes of meditation. Meditation can simply be to just close your eyes and sit quietly for a few minutes while you put your focus on a beautiful flower.

Set goals that you can reach. Do not set impossible goals that you will discourage yourself. If you are setting goals to walk for an hour a day then start out by setting a goal to walk for 15 minutes a day for a week and if you feel strong to walk twenty minutes then set another goal to walk 20 minutes for a week. This might sound too small but you will be amaze how wonderful you will feel when you accomplish small goals. Set goals that you can come out a winner and reward yourself if you reached your goal within the time frame you had set yourself. Become your own fan and supported if you have no one to reward you.

Make it fun to exercise. If walking is your plan then walk in different areas of your neighborhood. Get to know your neighborhood like a sightseer. Find friends that you can share your exercise videos and make it a party. Dance exercises are great for you and friends to laugh while you exercise. Do not over do it and burn yourself out. Do not spend too many hours trying to exercise to lose the weight. Just think that it took you five years to put it on then pace yourself the weight will come off eventually.
